BAFTA Player Vs Characters Panel & a little bit of extra info from me :)

Hello my followers / Minions / demons of the night or what ever you want to be called :) I have just returned (about half an hour ago) from the BAFTA Supported “Player Vs Character” panel in Piccadilly Circus, London and had a very good time. The event was supported by BAFTA and Chaired by Andrew Walsh who by the posting on the facebook group. “has worked as a writer or director on close to 50 games - including Prince of Persia, Harry Potter, and Medieval II: Total War - as well writing for radio, television, animation, theatre, radio and film.” Also at the event was 3 Game writers, One in-house and the rest (including Andrew) were external writers who are brought into the project at certain times. (Usually the end by what they told us, too late in the project to do something worthwhile.)
The Other writers were Jim Swallow, a man I had met when I went to get some books signed by Dan Abnett and Graham McNeil; Jim just showed up and I got him to sign a different book as I did not have his or money to buy one.) Jim has (to a sudden realisation to me) was the writer on Deus Ex : Human Revolution, but also had key titles such as Killzone 2 and Star Trek Invasion (Amongst others I did not realise he had done so much). also there was Ed stern who was the writer for Brink and Rhianna Pratchett from Mirrors Edge, Heavenly sword and Overlord series.
The entire thing was very good, they talked about Interactivity vs Cut scenes, the Environment and Game as a Character. All I can say from the entire thing is these simple things. “Immersion is the key” and “Show do not Tell” It was rather funny with the cheap jokes that came off sometimes but also the fact that when Rhianna talked about her games, I realised, She did mostly female dominant games which made me chuckle to myself.
Anyway, that's pretty much it from me, here is a quick update from me; I have got everything ready for Expo this Friday to Sunday. Cant wait to see Devon, It will be hilarious to see her again :D cant wait :D

(here is a quick pic I have drawn, deciding to add a new pic every time I post)
